国庆之际，普天同庆。由于美国人大多都不懂中国话，有若干个华尔街日报的记者，在庆典当场发布实时新闻短消息，其中有个叫做Ian Johnson的，绝对是个人才 …

一开始还挺正常的，从10:45分女兵出场之后，这位老兄明显开始乱high了 …

他说：瓦，MM们来啦，妆画的好PP，穿超短裙哪～ 吼吼，胡core微笑拍手捏。这个是啥兵啊？卡拉OK文艺兵？

过了两分钟：粉红超短裙+白色皮靴+冲锋枪+白色手枪套，该不是Dior或者Trands家设计的吧？

又过了几分钟，坦克来了：好多烟，后面看不见袅 … 过个十年这个大概会有电动坦克了吧？ ---- 这位老兄大概以为坦克工厂也跟GM一样要倒闭要靠政府耍流氓要用电动车来忽悠大家了 …

11点20分，女飞行员飞出来了：她们的飞机喷黄色和绿色的烟 …呃，短裙皮靴彩色烟，这个啊是有点看不起MM们啊…还是我个老头子太愤了？

11:37分，彩车游行开始了，他又开始搞笑了：人们啊，跳舞啊，跳舞啊，圣诞老人啊，你啥时候出场捏？

过了两分钟，小平同志出场：老大的画像依次经过，刚看过小平同志，他的接班人江core也来了，江的接班人胡core在看花车，再过几年估计他自己的画像估计也会来游行了 ---- 老大，你失策了吧

一分钟过后，这位同学惊呼：胡core的画像也飘过来了，他不用再等十年了才能永垂青史了。好多人唱歌跳舞挥旗子啊，可是就是木有圣诞老人 …

我看这个Johnson同学肯定是想家了，想回家看美国人parade了。

10:45 a.m.: Now come female troops, heavily made up. Wow, PLA girls in mini-skirts! Hu smiles and claps. Wonder what force that is? The karaoke troops? –Ian Johnson

10:47 a.m.: Now we’ve got the pink-mini-skirt and white jackboot female troops. They’er carrying submachine guns and white leather pistol holsters. Designed by Dior or Trands? –Ian Johnson

10:53 a.m.: The tanks are now going by. Huge clouds of diesel exhaust fill the air. You can hardly see down the boulevard for it. Maybe in a decade we’ll have electric tanks. None of this looks too impressive, but China hasn’t focused its attention on its land forces–it is modernizing its military for “force projection” and that means airplanes, ships and missiles. That’s coming up next. –Ian Johnson

11:20 a.m.: Here goes China’s first crop of female fighter pilots, their aircraft streaking yellow and green smoke. Does it seem demeaning that women wear mini-skirts and jackboots or fly the planes with colorful smoke? Or have we become too cynical in old age? –Ian Johnson

11:37 a.m.: People dancing by, more dancing, more dancing. When is the Santa Claus float? –Ian Johnson

11:39 a.m.: Amid the song and dances, the state is reinforcing its version of history. Large portraits of past leaders go by. We’ve seen Deng Xiaoping, the architect of China’s reforms, and Jiang Zemin, his successor. Jiang’s success, Hu Jintao, is reviewing the parade. One day we’ll probably see his picture down there. –Ian Johnson

11:40 a.m.: News flash: Hu has his own portrait float! He doesn’t have to wait until 2019 to be immortalized. Lots of singing and dancing, more flags being waved. No Santa Claus. –Ian Johnson
